Who We Are

ESDA is a group of business people and other citizens interested in supporting the missions of the Defense related organizations on the Eastern Shore.

The major Defense command is the U.S. Navy's Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC).  SCSC performs vital and unique work for the Fleet and allied forces.

The economic value of SCSC, its support organizations and its customers is significant- over $100 million per year (2003 data).

The Economic Value of SCSC is 53% in Virginia and 47% in Marylands.
